The Sharp Project - SPEAKING THIS THURSDAY

Rose Marley of THE SHARP PROJECT will be speaking at 2.15pm at GET OVER IT this Thursday at Sandbar, Grosvenor Street. Here is a little more about what The Sharp Project is...

"THE SHARP PROJECT … not so much a building … more of a way of life.
Based at the 250,000 square feet site previously occupied by electronics company Sharp the £16.5million profit-for-purpose development is backed by Manchester City Council and urban regeneration company New East Manchester.

THE SHARP PROJECT hosts 160 sq ft of converted shipping containers, contemporary office space, four production spaces from 4,000 up to 28,000 sq ft, dressing rooms, wardrobe, green screen, events space and a Members Campus where our members can meet and network.
Still in the final stages of conversion THE SHARP PROJECT is already home to over 40 companies including Tiger Aspect / SKY, Lime Pictures/Channel Four, Objective, 80 Hertz Recording Studios, MoCapOne and Barefoot VFX.
We have an abundance of power, creative office space and connectivity, all designed to be flexible for the creative an digital industries.
Rose Marley Management has been appointed as the Interim Management company for The Sharp Project. Rose Marley has vast experience in the creative and digital sector through management of Silk Studios, management of artists for global organizations including EMI and as a consultant  to a variety of creative business and events.
Rose said: “We have been based at THE SHARP PROJECT since August and have experienced it transform from a  warehouse into a unique creative and digital production complex. This is an exciting stage as we move towards completion, we can really start to build a knowledge based, commercial network that delivers for the local, and national digital, economy.”

Rose Marley is also the Managing Director of award winning social enterprise MOTIV CIC and has been delivering SharpFutures since 2009.
Rose Marley will share the vision for The Sharp Project and share her experience of how creative opportunities are often stimulated by adverse conditions to the benefit of the City."
